Frequently Asked Questions

How do I file a photo into a folder?

After taking a photo, an A–Z overlay appears. Tap the letter for the folder you want — the photo is instantly saved there.

How do I set custom folder names?

Open Settings → Folder Labels. Biometric authentication is required to edit labels.

What is Label Privacy Mode?

When enabled, your custom folder names are hidden behind dots (••••••) in the app. Tap Open in Settings to reveal them.

What is Share Mode?

Share Mode lets you shoot multiple photos, share them all at once, then delete them — leaving no clutter on your phone.

How do I restore my purchase?

Open Settings → Restore Purchase. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.

Can Phorder handle video?

Yes. Phorder records video just like photos — tap once to record, tap again to stop. The video is filed into the A–Z folder you pick, just like a photo.

What is App Lock?

When enabled in Settings → App Lock, Phorder requires Face ID or fingerprint to open — and locks again every time you switch to another app. Your custom labels and features stay private even if someone else picks up your phone.

What is Screenshot Organizer? (Pro)

When you take a screenshot anywhere on your phone, Phorder detects it automatically — even in the background. When you return to Phorder, it shows a prompt: "File this screenshot?" — tap a letter and it's saved to the correct Phorder album. No searching your camera roll needed.

What is Album Browser? (Pro)

Album Browser shows all 26 Phorder folders in one screen with thumbnails, photo count, and storage size per folder. You can sort by name, count, size, or date. Tap any folder to browse its contents. Press and hold any photo for a full-screen preview — release and it springs back.

How do I move a photo to a different folder? (Pro)

Open Album Browser → navigate to the folder with the photo → tap Select in the top-right corner → tap the photo(s) → tap Move to… → choose the destination letter. Done in three taps.

What is the difference between Basic ($9.99) and Pro ($14.99)?

Basic covers the full daily camera workflow: shoot, pick a letter, photo filed — plus custom labels, privacy mode, biometric lock, shake to undo, and Share & Discard. Pro adds Screenshot Organizer, Album Browser with long-press preview, and Photo Migration (move photos between folders). Both are one-time purchases with no subscription.

What is the 7-day trial?

When you first install Phorder, you get a free 7-day trial with full Pro access — no credit card required. After the trial ends, the app continues to work with Basic features. You can purchase Basic or Pro at any time from the purchase screen.
